The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Howard Huskies (Macon, GA) and the host Central Chargers (Macon, GA), observed Howard's football squad defeat Central by a count of 16-8.

The Huskies now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rutland for a non-league contest on Friday, September 12. Howard will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Northeast (Macon, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 0-2.

Coming up next, the Chargers encounter the Jordan Red Jackets (Columbus, GA) in a AAA Region 2A contest, on Friday, September 12. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
