North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheboro ripped by Ledford

January 25, 2023: Thomasville, NC 27360

The Ledford Panthers basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets to 28 in the Panthers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Davidson for a 3A Conference 47 contest on Friday, January 27. Ledford will meet a Spartans team coming off a 54-30 league loss to North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 8-10.

The Blue Comets (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies enter the 3A Conference 47 contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Oak Grove triumphed over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 58-34, in a league contest.
