The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mayde Creek Rams (Houston, TX) and the host Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX), observed Mayde Creek's football squad defeat Nimitz by a count of 45-21.

The Rams now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Alvin for a non-league contest on Friday, September 20. Mayde Creek will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 63-0 non-league loss to Tompkins (Katy, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-3.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Benjamin Davis Falcons (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 contest, on Friday, September 27. Nimitz will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 44-0 non-league win over Westbury (Houston, TX).
