Fairview Knights softball defeated the Golden Demons at GHS 6-4. The Knights opened the scoring in the second inning off a Rachel Perly double and never relinquished the lead. On offense, the Knights hit well and took advantage of runners in scoring position to plate runs in the 2nd, 5th, and 6th innings. Caitlin Laber continued to see the ball well going 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and stole second base on one attempt. Rachel Perley found the groove and hit 2 for 3 with an RBI. Five FHS players hit deep doubles. The Knights defense was not the well oiled machine seen in the last few outings, committing 4 errors. Two errors came on a costly play that plated a Demon runner and left another on 3rd who eventually scored on a wild pitch.
