Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) and the host Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA), saw Fremont's basketball squad overcome Monta Vista by a tally of 53-37.

With the victory, Fremont improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Los Altos (Los Altos, CA) to confront the Eagles in a El Camino challenge on Tuesday, February 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-7. Los Altos won 57-49 in their recent league challenge against Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA)

Next up, the Matadors confront the Los Altos Eagles (Los Altos, CA) in a El Camino challenge, on Friday, February 15. Monta Vista will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record.
