Michigan High School Basketball - Tawas Area tops Alcona
February 1, 2013: Lincoln, MI 48742 Tawas Area Braves (Tawas City, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), 52-41 in a league bout.
With the victory, Tawas Area upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Braves host Gladwin (Gladwin, MI) to play the Flying G's in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 6. The Flying G's come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Gladwin won 61-32 in their recent league bout against Houghton Lake (Houghton Lake, MI)
Next up, the Tigers play the Posen Vikings (Posen, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 5. Alcona will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 52-48 league win over Arenac Eastern (Twining, MI).
