Missouri High School Basketball - Carthage nudges Van Buren
December 26, 2012: Carthage, MO 64836 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO) basketball squad edged the visiting Van Buren Pointers (Van Buren, AR), by a margin of 2-0.
The Tigers (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Nevada (Nevada, MO). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Nevada nipped Monett (Monett, MO), 60-27, in a non-league outing.
The Pointers now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bentonville for a 7A/6A West match on Friday, January 4. Van Buren will confront a Tigers team coming off a 58-35 non-league win over Neosho (Neosho, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 9-2.
