In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Christopher Cougars basketball team scored a decisive 68-22 triumph over the Gilroy Mustangs.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the Oak Grove Eagles (San Jose, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 23. Christopher will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 39-36 non-league win over Branham (San Jose, CA).

With the defeat, Gilroy moves to 0-1 on the year.
