Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Rawlins County Buffaloes (Atwood, KS), 79-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northern Valley upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Huskies host Thunder Ridge (Kensington, KS) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 19. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Thunder Ridge lost 58-40 in their recent non-league bout against Osborne (Osborne, KS)

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Greeley County Jackrabbits (Tribune, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 19. Rawlins County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Jackrabbits go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 48-39 non-league win over Wallace County (Sharon Springs, KS).
