South Dakota High School Basketball - DeSmet tops Canistota
January 16, 2021: DeSmet, SD 57231 DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Canistota Hawks (Canistota, SD), 48-35 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, DeSmet upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hamlin (Hayti, SD) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 19. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Hamlin lost 72-48 in their recent league bout against Sioux Valley (Volga, SD)
Next up, the Hawks play the Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD) in a B Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 19. Canistota will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 58-27 league win over Scotland (Scotland, SD).
