Sully Buttes Chargers (Onida, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Timber Lake Panthers (Timber Lake, SD), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sully Buttes upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD) to play the Buffalos in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 21. The Buffalos come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Stanley County won 58-38 in their recent non-league bout against Bennett County (Martin, SD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Kadoka Kougars (Kadoka, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 26. Timber Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Kougars come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 43-30 league win over Jones County (Murdo, SD).
