The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Strath Haven Panthers (Wallingford, PA) and the visiting Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), observed Strath Haven's football squad thwart Marple Newtown by a count of 41-13.

The Panthers now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Haverford for a Central contest on Saturday, September 11. Strath Haven will play a Fords squad coming off a 42-28 league win over Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA). The Fords record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Fightin' Tigers play the Garnet Valley Jaguars (Glen Mills, PA) in a Central contest, on Friday, September 10. Marple Newtown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 55-14 league win over Conestoga (Berwyn, PA).
