Arizona High School Football - Fairfax drops to South Mountain

In Friday's non-league game, the South Mountain Jaguars (Phoenix, AZ) football team knocked off the visiting Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ), by a final score of 19-6.

The Jaguars (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ). The Blue Devils come into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Sunnyside was dropped by Desert View (Tucson, AZ), 29-21, in a non-league game.

The Stampede now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Ridge for a non-league game on Friday, September 10. Fairfax will battle a Mountain Lions team coming off a 74-27 non-league loss to Liberty (Peoria, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 0-1.
