Florida High School Basketball - Father Lopez prevails Trinity Christian Academy
January 8, 2009: Daytona Beach, FL 32114 Father Lopez Green Waves (Daytona Beach, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Trinity Christian Academy Eagles (Deltona, FL), 54-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Father Lopez upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Green Waves travel to Ribault (Jacksonville, FL) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 17. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 13-3.
Next up, the Eagles play the Lake Highland Prep Highlanders (Orlando, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 10. Trinity Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 53-26 league win over Jones (Orlando, FL).
