Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 57-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop McGuinness upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Villains travel to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to play the Bears in a Northwest battle on Friday, January 9. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 9-3. Mount Airy lost 54-37 in their recent league battle against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC)

The Blackhawks (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Wilkes Central triumphed over Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 71-37, in a league battle.
