Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Berry Tech Cardinal (Charlotte, NC), 55-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mallard Creek upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The travel to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, December 8. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Ardrey Kell won 51-49 in their recent non-league bout against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Cardinal play the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 9. Berry Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 69-61 non-league loss to Wesleyan (Norcross, GA).
