New Jersey High School Basketball - St. John-Vianney overwhelms Shore Regional
December 23, 2008: Holmdel, NJ 07733 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) and the visiting Shore Regional Blue Devils (West Long Branch, NJ), saw St. John-Vianney's basketball squad trounce Shore Regional by a score of 77-32.
With the victory, St. John-Vianney improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Moore Catholic (Staten Island, NY) to battle the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 26. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Moore Catholic won 64-52 in their recent league challenge against St. John Villa Academy (Staten Island, NY)
Next up, the Blue Devils battle the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs (Rumson, NJ) in a Shore A - Central challenge, on Saturday, January 3. Shore Regional will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 70-27 league win over Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ).
