February 21, 2009: Edina, MN 55439 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Woodbury Royals (Woodbury, MN) and the host Edina Hornets (Edina, MN), saw Woodbury's basketball squad hold off Edina by a score of 49-46.
With the victory, Woodbury improves its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Forest Lake (Forest Lake, MN) to meet the Rangers in a Suburban East battle on Tuesday, February 24. The Rangers come into the battle with a record of 14-10. Forest Lake lost 61-51 in their recent non-league battle against Tartan (Oakdale, MN)
The Hornets (11-10) will now prepare for their battle against Wayzata (Plymouth, MN). The Trojans come into the Classic Lake battle with a 11-10 record. In their last battle, Wayzata was nudged by Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, MN), 56-48, in a league battle.
