In Tuesday's league outing, the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) basketball squad knocked off the host Cordova Lancers (Rancho Cordova, CA), by a margin of 71-52.

The Bruins (13-10) will now prepare for their outing against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA). The Eagles go into the Sierra Valley outing with a 18-5 record. In their last outing, Vista del Lago was beaten by Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA), 52-28, in a league outing.

The Lancers now own a 3-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Galt for a Sierra Valley outing on Thursday, February 5. Cordova will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 75-25 league loss to Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-12.
