In Thursday's non-league game, the host Bishop Ireton Cardinals baseball team scored a nice 13-3 victory over the Jackson Raiders.

The Cardinals (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Stags enter the Washington Catholic contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, DeMatha topped Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD), 8-3, in a league contest.

The Raiders now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gar-Field for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 16.
