Kentucky High School Baseball - Edmonson County gets by Butler County
April 23, 2013: Brownsville, KY 42210 Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) and the visiting Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY), saw Edmonson County's baseball squad knock off Butler County by a count of 7-5.

Game Summary
The Butler County Bears traveled to Brownsville, Kentucky, on April 23rd to take on Edmonson County. Edmonson County scored early in the first half of the game while BCHS tried to mount a comeback in the latter half of the inning. ECHS took a 7-1 lead into the last 2 innings. In the 6th inning, the Bears mounted a comeback with 4 runs to cut the lead to 7-5. With bases loaded and 1 out, the BCHS batter grounded back to the pitcher who threw to home plate for the force out and the catcher turned to throw the runner out at first but hit the runner in the back. The home plate umpire made a controversial call as he called the runner out at first for "offensive interference" and ended the inning and the comeback attempt. The score ended in favor of Edmonson County 7-5. Keston Flener had 2 singles while Hunter Wilson had a triple. Blake Graham, Trevor Parker, Elijah Flener, and Brandon Jones all had singles. Wilson had BCHS's only RBI.
