The Pleasant Grove Spartans topped the visiting Pinson Valley Indians volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wenonah for a 5A Area 9 test on Thursday, September 16.

The Indians (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL). The Cougars enter the 6A Area 12 test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Clay-Chalkville gained a win over Leeds (Leeds, AL), 2-1, in a non-league test.
