The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Sports & Medical Sciences Academy Tigers (Hartford, CT) and the host Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT), saw Sports & Medical Sciences Academy's volleyball squad beat Northwest Catholic by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Sports & Medical Sciences Academy upgrades its record to 7-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Canton (Canton, CT) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, October 18. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Canton lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Bolton (Bolton, CT)
