Rhode Island High School Basketball - Cranston West tops Cranston East

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) and the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), saw Cranston West's basketball squad knock off Cranston East by a count of 51-41.

With the victory, Cranston West upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Falcons host South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI) to play the Rebels in a State Championship B challenge on Monday, January 3. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. South Kingstown won 57-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Monday, January 3. Cranston East will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Oakers come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 54-36 non-league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI).
