North Carolina High School Basketball - Murphy overwhelms Hiwassee Dam
January 27, 2022: Murphy, NC 28906 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) and the visiting Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), saw Murphy's basketball squad wallop Hiwassee Dam by a tally of 68-45.
With the victory, Murphy improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 1A Conference 43 challenge on Friday, January 28. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Hayesville won 45-32 in their recent league challenge against Andrews (Andrews, NC)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC) in a 1A Conference 43 challenge, on Friday, February 4. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record.
