June 13, 2023: La Porte City, IA 50651 Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting North Tama Red Hawks (Traer, IA), 4-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Union upgrades its record to 2-12 on the year. The Knights travel to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league game on Thursday, June 15. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 13-9. Wapsie Valley won 9-7 in their recent non-league game against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA)
The Red Hawks (7-6) will now prepare for their game against Janesville (Janesville, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Janesville tipped Clarksville (Clarksville, IA), 10-0, in a non-league game.
