In Wednesday's non-league match, the host El Rancho Dons basketball team scored a tight 57-54 triumph over the Brentwood School Eagles.

In their next game, the Dons meet the San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 5. El Rancho will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Matadors enter the match with a 9-5 record after their 48-37 non-league loss to California (San Ramon, CA).
