Washington High School Basketball - Sumner nudges Kentwood
December 13, 2014: Covington, WA 98042 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) basketball squad edged the host Kentwood Conquerors (Covington, WA), by a count of 33-28.
The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lakes (Lakewood, WA). The Lancers go into the 3A SPSL outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, Lakes held off Bonney Lake (Bonney Lake, WA), 59-46, in a league outing.
The Conquerors now hold a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Kentridge for a 4A SPSL - North outing on Tuesday, December 16. Kentwood will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 53-47 league win over Tahoma (Kent, WA). The Chargers record now stands at 4-1.
