Lincoln County Lions (Eureka, MT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Anaconda Copperheads (Anaconda, MT), 44-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lincoln County upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Lions host Whitefish (Whitefish, MT) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 25. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Whitefish lost 35-24 in their recent league bout against Libby (Libby, MT)

Next up, the Copperheads play the Powell County Wardens (Deer Lodge, MT) in a B District 6 bout, on Thursday, January 24. Anaconda will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Wardens go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 70-41 league win over St. Ignatius (St. Ignatius, MT).
