Whitney Young Dolphins (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL), 74-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Whitney Young upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Dolphins travel to Edison Academy (Detroit, MI) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 14. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Lane Tech Indians (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - Red North/West bout, on Tuesday, December 18. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 67-54 league win over Schurz (Chicago, IL).
