January 17, 2019: Wymore, NE 68466 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sterling Jets (Sterling, NE) and the host Southern Raiders (Wymore, NE), saw Sterling's basketball squad hold off Southern by a tally of 42-37.
With the victory, Sterling improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Jets travel to Lourdes Central Catholic (Nebraska City, NE) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 22. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Lourdes Central Catholic won 47-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE)
Next up, the Raiders play the Sacred Heart Irish (Falls City, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 22. Southern will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Irish come into the challenge with a 14-3 record after their 55-29 non-league win over Pawnee City (Pawnee City, NE).
