The Kosciusko Whippets (Kosciusko, MS) basketball nipped the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 50-45 in Friday's league test.

The Whippets (9-10) will now prepare for their test against Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Gators go into the 4A Region 4 test with a 9-11 record. In their last test, Leake Central got by Pisgah (Sandhill, MS), 58-34, in a non-league test.
