February 8, 2019: Bonesteel, SD 57523 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) and the host Burke/South Central Cougars (Bonesteel, SD), saw Bridgewater/Emery's basketball squad wallop Burke/South Central by a tally of 63-36.
With the victory, Bridgewater/Emery improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD) to confront the Eagles in a B Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Irene/Wakonda won 54-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Canton (Canton, SD)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD) in a B Region 5 challenge, on Saturday, February 9. Burke/South Central will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 3-15 record after their 32-31 non-league loss to Baltic (Baltic, SD).
