South Carolina High School Basketball - Cheraw over Central

January 4, 2019: Cheraw, SC 29520

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the visiting Central Eagles (Pageland, SC), saw Cheraw's basketball squad overcome Central by a tally of 50-30.

With the victory, Cheraw improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Loris (Loris, SC) to confront the Lions in a AAA Region VI challenge on Tuesday, January 8. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Loris won 46-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake View (Lake View, SC)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) in a AA Region IV challenge, on Tuesday, January 8. Central will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Golden Rams come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 42-34 non-league win over Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC).
