Falls City Beavers (Falls City, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Three Rivers Bulldogs (Three Rivers, TX), 57-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Falls City upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Beavers travel to Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX) to clash with the Marlins in a 2A Region IV District 30 bout on Friday, January 4. The Marlins go into the bout with a record of 2-7.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 30 bout, on Friday, January 4. Three Rivers will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 44-19 league win over Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX).
