February 7, 2019: Battle Creek, NE 68715 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cedar Catholic Trojans (Hartington, NE) and the host Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE), saw Cedar Catholic's basketball squad hold off Battle Creek by a count of 58-53.
With the victory, Cedar Catholic upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Homer (Homer, NE) to play the Knights in a C2 District 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 12. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Homer won 70-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Walthill (Walthill, NE)
Next up, the Braves play the Stanton Mustangs (Stanton, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 12. Battle Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 54-51 non-league loss to Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE).
