Colorado High School Ice Hockey - Cheyenne Mountain knocks off Doherty
February 11, 2022: Colorado Springs, CO 80917 The Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks ice hockey squad scored 7 points and restricted the host Doherty Spartans to 2 in the Red-Tailed Hawks non-league victory on Friday.
With the victory, Cheyenne Mountain moves its record to 16-0 on the campaign. The Red-Tailed Hawks travel to Colorado Academy (Denver, CO) to face the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 12. The Mustangs go into the contest with a record of 11-3. Colorado Academy won 9-0 in their recent non-league contest against Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO)
The Spartans now sport a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they host Pine Creek for a 5A South contest on Saturday, February 12. Doherty will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Chaparral (Parker, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 4-11.
