South Carolina High School Basketball - Gaston Day trounced by Spartanburg Day
December 1, 2009: Spartanburg, SC 29307 The Spartanburg Day Griffins routed the visiting Gaston Day Spartans basketball team by a final score of 49-6 in Tuesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Griffins face the Asheville Christian Academy Lions (Swannanoa, NC) in a NCISAA Carolinas test, on Friday, December 4. Spartanburg Day will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 2-1 record after their 49-39 non-league win over Owen (Black Mountain, NC).
The Spartans now own a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Westchester Academy for a non-league test on Friday, December 4. Gaston Day will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 37-12 league win over Salem Academy (Winston-Salem, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-3.
