Garland Owls (Garland, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Haltom Buffalos (Haltom City, TX), 63-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Garland upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Owls host Sachse (Sachse, TX) to encounter the Mustangs in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Saturday, January 2. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Buffalos encounter the North Crowley Panthers (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 bout, on Saturday, January 2. Haltom will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 50-32 non-league loss to Canyon (Canyon, TX).
