December 2, 2009: Stayton, OR 97383 The Cottage Grove Lions nipped the host Regis Rams basketball squad by a margin of 44-42 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Creswell (Creswell, OR). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Creswell got by Reedsport (Reedsport, OR), 64-21, in a non-league outing.
The Rams now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dayton for a non-league outing on Friday, December 4. Regis will confront a Pirates team coming off a 42-26 non-league win over Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.
