New Mexico High School Basketball - Gadsden holds off San Elizario
December 2, 2009: Anthony, NM 88021 Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting San Elizario Eagles (San Elizario, TX), 38-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Gadsden upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Fabens (Fabens, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 4. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-10. Fabens lost 75-28 in their recent non-league bout against Canutillo (Canutillo, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 3. San Elizario will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 42-31 non-league win over Mountain View (El Paso, TX).
