December 23, 2022: El Segundo, CA 90245 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) and the host El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA), saw Mira Costa's basketball squad wallop El Segundo by a tally of 50-28.
With the victory, Mira Costa improves its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Lakewood (Lakewood, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 26. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Lakewood won 62-57 in their recent non-league challenge against South (Torrance, CA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 6. El Segundo will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Tartars come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 56-46 non-league win over Marina (Huntington Beach, CA).
