North Carolina High School Softball - Page falls to Northern Guilford
March 28, 2012: Greensboro, NC 27405 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Northern Guilford Nighthawks softball team scored a nice 23-1 win over the Page Pirates.
Coming up next, the Nighthawks battle the Eastern Alamance Eagles (Mebane, NC) in a outing, on Friday, March 30. Northern Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 2-0 record after their 17-7 league win over Western Alamance (Elon, NC).
The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league outing with a 0-2 record.
Game Summary
The Northern JV Nighthawks came out with their bats "on fire" and batted some batters came up to the plate 3 x in the first inning! With that as starting point the entire team played and contributed to this "slug fest" with some timely hits and great defensive plays limited the Page Pirates to just one run!
