New York High School Football - Canisius nips St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute
September 28, 2018: Buffalo, NY 14223 In Friday's league match, the visiting Canisius football squad scored a close 34-28 victory over the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders.
In their next game, the clash with the Erie Royals (Erie, PA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 6. Canisius will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Royals enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 43-41 league loss to McDowell (Erie, PA).
The Marauders (1-4) will now prepare for their match against St. Francis (Athol Springs, NY). The Red Raiders enter the Monsignor Martin - Large match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, St. Francis was nudged by Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA), 37-14, in a non-league match.
