Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Titans confront the Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 19. Hopewell will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, NC).

The Mavericks now have a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Mecklenburg for a Queen City 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Mallard Creek will confront a Vikings team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 5-9.
