California High School Softball - Walnut nudges St. Lucy's
April 12, 2021: Walnut, CA 91789 The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Walnut Mustangs (Walnut, CA) and the visiting St. Lucy's Regents (Glendora, CA), saw Walnut's softball squad nip St. Lucy's by a count of 4-3.
The Mustangs now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Diamond Ranch for a non-league match on Thursday, April 15. Walnut will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Garey (Pomona, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, St. Lucy's falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Regents host Etiwanda (Etiwanda, CA) to face the Eagles in a Baseline match on Tuesday, April 27. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 4-0.
