Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Elmore County Panthers (Eclectic, AL), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 24-5 record. They take the field next when they host Prattville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 20.

With the loss, Elmore County falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Jemison (Jemison, AL) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Area 6 challenge on Monday, April 19. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Jemison lost 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Montevallo (Montevallo, AL)
