Georgia High School Football - Statesboro knocked off by New Hampstead
October 18, 2016: Statesboro, GA 30458 New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA) fans left the game content Tuesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA), 40-16 in a league test.
With the triumph, New Hampstead improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Wayne County (Jesup, GA) to battle the Yellow Jackets in a AAAAA Region 2 test on Friday, October 21. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 1-6. Wayne County won 17-14 in their recent league test against South Effingham (Guyton, GA)
With the loss, Statesboro drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to South Effingham (Guyton, GA) to battle the Mustangs in a AAAAA Region 2 test on Friday, October 28. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 0-7.
