In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Cactus Cobras (Glendale, AZ) basketball squad beat the host Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ), by a count of 57-40.

The Cobras (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ). The Scorpions go into the 4A West Valley outing with a 13-11 record. In their last outing, Desert Edge was topped by Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ), 57-33, in a league outing.

The Marauders now hold a 0-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradshaw Mountain for a 4A Grand Canyon contest on Friday, January 31. Mingus will meet a Bears team coming off a 51-35 league win over Lee Williams (Kingman, AZ). The Bears record now stands at 9-14.
