Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting O'Brien RVT Condors (Ansonia, CT), 48-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Derby upgrades its record to 6-13 on the season. The Red Raiders host Torrington (Torrington, CT) to clash with the Red Raiders in a Naugatuck Valley - Copper match on Tuesday, February 18. The Red Raiders enter the match with a record of 7-11. Torrington lost 42-37 in their recent non-league match against Wolcott (Wolcott, CT)
